Terms of Service
Last updated: July 12, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Newdrop at getnewdrop.com (the “Service”), operated by Newdrop(“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
The Service
Newdrophelps you publish product updates (“What's New”), host a public changelog page, embed an in-app widget, and email opted-in subscribers. Optional tools may include scheduling, custom domains, webhooks, password-gated pages, team editors, draft assistance, and member support chat. Features and pricing are described on our website and may change over time. The Service is not a feedback board, roadmap product, NPS suite, or uptime monitor.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract. You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law.
Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity under your account, including activity by team editors you invite. Notify us promptly at support@getnewdrop.com if you suspect unauthorized access. Sign-in may use email one-time codes, Google or Microsoft OAuth, and passkeys where available. Each paid account includes the project limits shown in the dashboard unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Free trial and billing
New accounts may receive a free trial with full access. During the founding launch window, that trial is typically 30 days; later standard trials may be shorter as published on our website (for example 14 days). No credit card is required to start a trial. After the trial, publishing and widget delivery may pause until you subscribe to Newdrop Pro at $29 USD per month, billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel anytime from the billing page; Stripe handles payment method updates and invoices. We do not charge your card until you explicitly subscribe.
If you cancel within 30 days of your first successful payment, we issue a full refund to your original payment method (including automatic refunds where our billing system is configured to do so). After that deadline, fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with reasonable notice; changes apply to future billing periods.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Send spam, unsolicited email, or messages without proper consent
- Distribute malware, phishing, or illegal content
- Harass, abuse, or infringe the rights of others
- Attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Abuse trials, refunds, or rate limits to evade payment
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Your content and subscriber data
You retain ownership of changelog content you publish. You grant us a limited license to host, display, and transmit that content solely to operate the Service (for example, serving your widget, public page, emails, and webhooks you configure). You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your content and for obtaining appropriate consent from email subscribers you collect through the widget.
We may remove content or suspend access if we reasonably believe it violates these Terms or poses risk to the Service or others. We do not routinely monitor customer content but are not responsible for content you publish.
Support and AI features
Signed-in members may use on-site support chat and optional draft assistance. These features may use automated systems to generate replies or drafts. They do not create a service-level agreement, do not replace human review for billing, legal, security, or privacy matters, and must not be relied on for legal advice. Escalations to a human are handled by email when offered in the product or when you write support@getnewdrop.com.
Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties (such as Stripe for payments, authentication providers for sign-in, email delivery, hosting, and AI providers for support or draft help). Your use of those services may be subject to their separate terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and cancel your subscription through the billing page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (including limitations of liability) will survive.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, your collection of subscriber emails, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be notified by email or in the Service. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Delaware for disputes arising from these Terms or the Service, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection law.
